This training in dance for the stage offers between 20 and 30 places and aims to offer the necessary stage practices to dancers who have completed professional and higher education so they can begin their professional careers.
This master's degree is offered as a Master's Degree in Lifelong Learning and a Own Degree. The difference between the two is that the master's degree is designed for people who have a university degree or equivalent, as is the case of the Higher Degree in Dance, and on the other hand, the Own Degree is aimed at people who do not have previous university studies, but do have a professional degree from a dance conservatory.
This specialized post-training will give you the essential experience to develop your stage presence and thus have more opportunities to access professional dance companies at a national and international level.
“La Joven”, a master's degree in dance training for the stage, aims to provide you with the necessary tools to be able to face the work in a professional company and will be the stepping stone that propels you to access this profession.
Through a young company, “La Joven de la UAL”, we will work on a vocabulary of classical/neoclassical/contemporary dance, enriching the proposals with each workshop where various choreographers and assistants will work on different styles.
Working in creative processes alongside national and international choreographers, dancing on stage for an audience, spinning, experiencing the daily life of a professional dancer will give you a close-up look at the reality of the dance profession.
It will also provide you with the tools to write a CV and what you need to know how to approach an audition to join a professional dance company.
Aimed at dancers between 17 and 23 years old
Classical dance students with a strong foundation in contemporary dance who have completed a professional degree at a Professional Dance Conservatory or equivalent and/or have a higher degree in Dance, a Baccalaureate, and want to enter the dance job market.
DURATION AND PERIOD OF THE MASTER'S DEGREE
The master's degree will be held throughout the 25/26 academic year.
Starting on October 1, 2025 and ending on July 15, 2026.
Opening hours: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.
